Hello, my name is Anil Pesaramelli, and I am running for Erie Town Council from District 1.

My commitment is to ensure every voice is heard, every concern is addressed and every

opportunity is explored.

 

Family Life:

​

Growing up in a small town in India, I was surrounded by a community of hardworking families.

Both my parents were working hard to make ends meet. Despite their struggles, they instilled the

core values of education, family, and hard work. My upbringing was marked by discrimination,

financial hardships, and limited resources, but these experiences taught me the importance of

perseverance, persistence, and patience. They've shaped my character and instilled

in me a deep appreciation for the value of hard work, dedication, and gratitude.

 

My spouse and I have lived in the states for over 2 decades and both of us are employed as

engineers. As parents, we strive to pass on the principles that helped us in our life, to our two

children as they navigate their own paths. We have a son who is in his final year studying

Psychology at the CU Boulder, and our daughter is a 11th grader at Peak-to-Peak High School

located in Lafayette, CO.

 

Education and Career:

After leaving India with only the clothes on my back, I pursued a master’s degree in chemical

engineering at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Later on I attended University of Iowa to

get my MBA. This achievement marked me as the first college graduate in my family.

The education I received wasn’t just a pathway to a new life but also inspired younger

generations back home.

 

Over the next two decades, I’ve worked in the Tech Industry at some of the leading companies.

I also gained experience running small businesses, including a food truck, a restaurant and an

Insurance agency. My true passion lies in making a positive impact in the community.

I constantly seek out for opportunities to give back through supporting community initiatives

and supporting various small businesses. It’s incredibly fulfilling to blend my tech expertise

with meaningful work that helps others.

My primary focus is to make a tangible impact and being a trusted leader in the lives of those

around me. As I look ahead to my future position, I’m committed to continuing that impact,

creating opportunities, and advocating for those whose voices need to be heard.
